Conversations with Ambassadors: H.E. Paulo Cunha Alves

Today, the Security Studies and World Politics Association successfully organised a new edition of the “Conversations with Ambassadors” series, part of the Discover Diplomacy Program. The event was hosted at the Faculty of Political Science, University of Bucharest.

We were deeply honoured to welcome H.E. Paulo Cunha Alves, Ambassador of Portugal to Romania and the Republic of Moldova. The Ambassador engaged in an insightful dialogue covering Romania–Portugal bilateral relations, cultural diplomacy, literature, geopolitics, and valuable personal experiences from his diplomatic career. Students also received valuable advice on pursuing careers in diplomacy and international affairs.

The discussion was joined by Professor Alexandra Iancu, Dean of the Faculty of Political Science, University of Bucharest, Miruna Ghițulete, President and Founder of the Security Studies and World Politics Association, and Ștefan Țuțuianu, Vice President of the Association. The event concluded with an interactive Q&A session, encouraging meaningful exchanges between the audience and our guest.

We were equally delighted to welcome our special guests: Mr. Ștefan Dănilă, former Chief of Staff of the Romanian Armed Forces, and Mr. Mihai Manea, founder of the prestigious Nine O’Clock media agency.
