The launch of Conversations with Ambassadors series

Today, May 6, the Security Studies and World Politics Association officially launched the Conversations with ambassadors series, part of Discover Diplomacy Program. The opening event was dedicated to Canada’s role in the new international security order.

Together with our participants, we had the distinct honour of engaging in a discussion with His Excellency Gavin Buchan, Ambassador of Canada to Romania, Bulgaria, and the Republic of Moldova. His Excellency delivered an insightful presentation on current global challenges and the vital role diplomacy plays in maintaining international stability. The event also featured an interactive Q&A session, providing a valuable opportunity for further dialogue and reflection.

We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to the Ambassador for his presence, clarity, and professionalism in addressing these complex topics.

This marks a promising beginning for a series of events aimed at bringing students closer to the realities of international relations and global security.
