Student Visit to the National Audiovisual Council (CNA)

Against the backdrop of a tense political climate, SSWP organized a student visit to the National Audiovisual Council (CNA). This initiative came at a particularly relevant moment, following the decision of Romania’s Supreme Council of National Defence (CSAT) to convene the competent institutions in order to investigate cyberattacks in the context of the presidential elections.

During the session, SSWP members watched a selection of excerpts from programmes broadcast by Romanian television stations. These excerpts included controversial statements made by presidential candidates and representatives of political parties, some of which approached the limits of legality, as well as examples of how such messages can influence public perception. The session also addressed the media coverage surrounding the death of Mr. Silviu Prigoană, a topic that generated significant controversy in the public sphere.
