Ready to Vote: Practical Workshop for Students

Today, at the Faculty of Political Science, University of Bucharest (FSPUB), Security Studies and World Politics, together with @tineriivoteaza, organized the “Ready to Vote” workshop, an applied and interactive session dedicated to civic and electoral education.

In the first part of the workshop, Maria and Ștefan, trainers from Expert Forum (EFOR), explained how the Romanian political system works, covering the organization of institutions, the legislative process, and the relationships between the main public authorities.

Participants then took part in debates on themes such as “My Vote Matters,” using concrete examples to explore how young people can participate in and contribute to electoral and democratic processes. Students had the opportunity to express their opinions, practice argumentation, and learn more about how they can register as election observers and support the “Vot Corect” initiative.

Workshops of this kind show how valuable applied civic education can be. They not only help students understand political mechanisms more clearly, but also encourage them to become active citizens engaged in democratic life.
